About the Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial body that authorizes variances, in specific cases, from the terms of the Alamance County Unified Development Ordinance when a hardship would result from carrying out the strict letter of the regulations. The Board of Adjustment also hears and decides appeals from administrative decisions made by county Planning staff or other advisory boards.
Board of Adjustment By-Laws and Meeting Procedures
Regular meetings of the Alamance County Board of Adjustment shall take place on the third Thursday
of each month. Meetings will be held at 6:30 PM in the Alamance County Development Center conference room,
