The Technical Review Committee (TRC) consists of Planning staff, representatives from
the County Health Department, County Planning Board Liaison, County Soil and Water
Conservation, NC Department of Transportation, NC Department of Environmental Quality,
County Emergency Management, GIS representative for addressing, County Building
Inspections Department, and County Fire Marshall.
The TRC reviews plans and plats for compliance with the provisions and intent of the
Alamance County UDO and ensures compliance with other governmental requirements. Items
reviewed may include, setbacks, minimum lot size, building height restrictions, Traffic Impact
Analysis, operational setbacks, riparian buffers, regulated land uses, operations area, landscaping
and screening, lighting plans, gating and fencing, groundwater study, signage, parking, road
access, road type,
